چکیده

Chemotherapy is the standard treatment component for osteosarcoma alongside surgery. Nevertheless, survival rate of patients diagnosed with has not changed over past three decades. Phenolic compounds are widely reported having anti-proliferative effects against various cancers including osteosarcoma. Based on framework published by Arskey and O’Malley [1] this scoping review was conducted to map literature anti-osteosarcoma activity phenolic compounds.

Antifungal Activity of Phenolic Compounds Extracted from Dried Olive Pomace

The antifungal activity of phenolic compounds extracted from olive pomace against Alternaria solani, Botrytis cinerea and Fusarium culmorum was investigated. Olive pomace, a by-product of olive oil production, was used as a source of phenolic compounds. The extracted phenolics were added to a medium to reach phenol concentration of 0.1 and 0.2 % (w/v) and tested for their antifungal activity ag...

Sesamol: A Natural Phenolic Compound with Promising Anticandidal Potential

We investigated the antifungal effects of sesamol (Ses), a natural phenolic compound, and exemplified that it could be mediated through disruption of calcineurin signaling pathway in C. albicans, a human fungal pathogen. The repertoire of antifungal activity not only was limited to C. albicans and its six clinical isolates tested but also was against non-albicans species of Candida. Interesting...
